Newport Indoor Bowls Centre is situated next to the M4 motorway,just a few minutes from junction 25. This state of the art facility was built by Newport City Council in 1992 and has recently been refurbished throughout; a distinguishing feature being the blue Dales carpet.
It has an 8 rink bowling surface with an electronic scoreboard and a lounge where visitors can relax with a drink or light refreshments, whilst watching a game of bowls. (opening times)
It is home to two clubs, Newport Indoor Bowls Club and Newport Ladies Indoor Bowls Club. Both clubs welcome new members, whether experienced bowlers or those new to the game.
Two of the 8 rinks are available to members of the public and may be booked through the steward. Bowls and footwear may be hired at the Centre for a modest fee.Coaching sessions are arranged on Sunday mornings from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon, run by our qualified coaches who are members of the Welsh Bowls Coaching Association.
