The Newport Indoor Bowls Centre, built by Newport City Council, opened in 1992. It has 8 full size rinks which have been recently refurbished to provide a state of the art Indoor Bowls centre serving Newport and the surrounding area. Two rinks are available for bowling by members of the public and coaching is available for bowlers of all abilities.

The Centre is managed by Newport Indoor Bowling Association whose aim is to foster the game of Indoor Bowls and provide a centre of excellence for bowlers. The Association has recently entered into a partnership with Newport City Council to provide Newport residents with an alternative healthy activity, by way of Open Days and Taster Sessions.

A mens and a ladies club are based at the Centre and new members are welcome; for details of membership, contact the secretary of the respective club.
